1. Make a deletion request
In the app
Open your Profile, go to Settings, choose Delete Account, and confirm the deletion. This permanently removes the account's sign-in access once deletion completes. Guests can use this option without adding an email address or password.
Without the app
Email hello@promptwars.gg with the subject Prompt Wars account deletion. If you linked an email address, tell us that address and, if known, your player name. Sending from your account email helps us verify ownership. For an unlinked guest, include your account ID if available, your player name, and an explanation that you used guest play; a linked email address is not required to make a request.
If you lost access to your email, device, or guest session, explain this in your request. We will arrange an appropriate ownership check before deleting an account; an account ID or player name alone does not prove ownership. A purchase receipt alone cannot recover a guest account. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, payment-card details, or copies of identity documents in your initial email.
Guest accounts are not automatically deleted because they are guests or inactive. Losing a device or session does not delete the server-side account or its associated information.
You may also request deletion of particular personal information without deleting your entire account. Identify the information or battle involved so we can review your request.
2. What account deletion removes
- The Prompt Wars sign-in account and its authentication credentials.
- Your display name and username, which are replaced with deleted-player labels, and the profile's avatar reference.
- Your character names and battle cries, which are cleared or replaced; your characters are marked inactive.
- Push notification tokens, notification preferences, and rival connections.
Removing a profile's image reference does not mean every generated image or video file has been erased. See the retained-information section below.
3. Information that may remain
Shared battle history, submitted battle prompts, results, generated media and their references, rankings, purchase records, and credit-wallet transactions are not automatically erased by deleting the sign-in account. Internal profile and character records remain with deleted-player labels so other players' shared battle history and transaction records continue to work.
These records can remain linked to an internal account identifier. A prompt or shared result may still contain personal information a player included in it. Account deletion does not, by itself, remove that text or every stored media file. Tell us about any such information in your deletion request so we can review its removal.
The current automated account-deletion process does not set a fixed expiry for these retained shared and transaction records. We assess further deletion and retention requests according to the information involved and applicable legal, accounting, safety, fraud-prevention, or dispute requirements. We will explain any applicable retention requirement or exception when handling your request.
Copies already exported or independently shared by another person are not recalled by deleting your account. Backup and third-party records may require separate handling. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.
4. Manage your subscription separately
Deleting your Prompt Wars account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel it in the store account where you purchased it to stop future renewals. You can request account deletion whether or not a subscription remains active.
5. Get help or follow up
If deletion fails in the app, you cannot sign in, or you need to ask about retained information, email hello@promptwars.gg. We will verify ownership where needed, process the request under applicable requirements, and explain any additional steps. Please do not send another person's account credentials.
